The oxidant is a creamy liquid that activates the hair dye. Choosing the right oxidant is a key step in the hair coloring process. Using an oxidant that does not align with your dye choice may lead to less than ideal results. Therefore, it’s important to select your oxidant with the same care as you would your dye. For best results, use the same brand of oxidant as the dye you choose. Below is a guide to help you select the appropriate oxidant for your needs.
Oxidant Options
5 Vol. Oxidant: Specifically designed for use with the Pure Color Series only.
10 Vol. Oxidant: Ideal for refreshing color at the ends and lengths of the hair.
20 Vol. Oxidant: Suitable for covering white hair, lightening by 1-2 shades, and maintaining the same shade while creating dimension and highlights.
30 Vol. Oxidant: Recommended for lightening hair by 2-3 shades.
40 Vol. Oxidant: Best for lightening hair by 3-4 shades and for highlighting and balayage techniques.
